Perception iO
Can emotions betray prejudice? And could a machine read them?
Karen Palmer
Perception iO (Input Output) is an immersive experience created at the convergence of neuroscience, behavioral psychology, film, AI, facial emotion detection, eye tracking, bias and social justice.
Watching Perception iO, you take the viewpoint of a police officer in a volatile situation. A camera mounted to the screen tracks your eye movements and facial expressions. Where your eyes go and how you respond to the scene will have consequences for the characters.
