COMPETITION CLOSED. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WINNERS:
DONNA COONEY, JACINTA AMMAN, PETER TSAKKOS & BILL GRAINGER
Last month’s Members’ competition winners had a fantastic time at Alok Jha’s weird and wonderful Synthetic Biology Smackdown. Edward, one of our competition winners wrote in to comment “... very entertaining and the speakers had some interesting, and in some cases terrifying (Christina's gender-cide), presentations!” Curiosity piqued? Check out the video here.!
Last week we had our monthly member’s night, organised in collaboration with Trinity Gamers Society and Ballyfermot Animation Society.
Rising stars of the indie gaming scene, BitSmith popped in to showcase their newest creation FranknJohn, keep an eye out on their blog to catch all the latest updates. We were blown away by the amazing response to the Members Games Night, with some people literally bringing bags and car boots full (seriously!) of their favourite games to share and play. We rolled out our own Science Gallery favourite, Mindball, the game where you relax to win.
Of course, the star of the show was the Oculus Rift 3D virtual reality gaming headset, as the queue here testifies. Massive thanks to Fabio (iLOBO) for bringing in his kit to showcase the technology to everyone.
