Designing out drinking violence

The Ultimate Pint is a shatter-resistant glass that reduces the possibility of both accidental breakage and deliberate harm to others. By shattering into very small blunt particles, the broken glass is much safer than a traditional pint glass and cannot be used as a weapon. The design was developed by glassware manufacturer Arcoroc in collaboration with Design Bridge and the Royal College of Art as part of the programme ‘Design Out Crime’.
