GAME Launch Party

Thursday, November 15, 2012 - 18:00 to 20:00
Members only
Science Gallery

What happens when you blur the boundaries between the real world and a computer game universe? What is it that drives us to play, and how will that shape games of the future? How do you create a game that millions of people will become addicted to... and do it all yourself? What is the future of play?

Join us at the members launch party of our new programme GAME at 6pm on November 15th to be amongst the first to explore all of these questions and more.

Take a closer look at the future directions for gaming in Ireland by exploring the components of a great game, speculate on how we might play in the future, and empower young people to become game developers themselves.

At the launch party, Science Gallery Members will get a sneak preview of GAME, nibbles and drinks, and have a chance to take part in the world's first 100-player laser-controlled game, Renga - which must be seen to be believed, so check out the video below.

Not a member but want to come along and explore the future of play? Join today and your name will automatically be added to the guest list for all our launches, as well as a host of other member benefits. Become a member here
