Urban Knights: Monthly Platform for Urban Crusaders and Change Agents

What inspires you to think differently about how we live in the city?
And, if you were to transform Dublin, what would you do?

Urban Knights is a series of talks that celebrates urban crusaders, innovators and those who are actively changing how we behave, think and engage with the city.

We have invited a multidisciplinary cross section of Irish and international urban knights to discuss their ideas and to talk about the practicalities of implementing them. Acting as a platform, Urban Knights allows you to meet like-minded people who are interested in creating urban change.

April 16th:

  • Dominic Byrne The Assistant Head of I.T. at Fingal County Council provides practical examples of why open data is a necessity
  • Nicolas Henninger A founding member of EXYZT presents the intentions behind their unique approach to temporary city structures
  • Niall Harbison The Founder of Simply Zesty makes the case for why Dublin could be the next Berlin
  • Sven Anderson An artist working between Ireland and the US outlines his role as an urban acoustic planner for Dublin City Council
  • Ré Dubhthaigh The Principal Designer at The Civic Works discusses the messy realities of civic intervention
