If you could measure everything...would you? With the help of a ‘crack team’ of computer scientists visitors to the Lab will get to join in data logging experiments to explore new ways of recording the quantifiable and unquantifiable self.
Visitors are encouraged to drop into the lab space to meet Rami and Cathal who will be shipping out of the INSIGHT Centre in DCU to conduct and communicate their research in the Lab at LIFLOGGING for the week. Learn about their work creating digital and external memories from sensors and images, and how they are teaching technology to recognise objects. Visitors will get the opportunity to test and explore a variety of devices and data visualisation.
Visitors to LIFELOGGING can pop into the Lab any time to meet a lifelogger who'll be doing research and workshops that you can get hands-on with and delve into the world of data. Every week will see a different lifelogger take over, so be sure to drop in regularly!
You can also check out a scheduled talk by Cathal Gurrin of the Insight Centre about recording ever moment. And we mean every!
‘At Insight we undertake high impact research in data analytics that has significant impact on industry and society by enabling better decision making.’
The LIFELOGGING Lab is supported by Irish Design 2015.
