Social Lifelogging: An experiment to measure your relationships (for TCD staff/students only)

How do your relationships stack up? Who stresses you out? And who makes you happy?

In this two-part experiment-slash-workshop, the creators of pplkpr will track your physical and emotional responses while talking, texting or chatting online, all in an attempt to help manage your relationships. Pplkpr is an app that tracks, analyses, and auto-manages your relationships. Using a smartwatch, pplkpr monitors your physical and emotional response to the people around you, and optimises your social life accordingly.

To take part in this workshop you must be a staff member or student of Trinity College Dublin, have an iPhone, and sign up in person at Science Gallery Dublin.

Here’s how it works…

  • Sign up in person for the workshop at Science Gallery Dublin (places are limited, and we’ll need to make a copy of your Staff/Student ID)
  • Take part in a 45-min workshop with Lauren and Kyle from pplkpr on Wednesday 18th March at 3pm, where they will equip you with the wearables needed to monitor your relationships.
  • Go about your life as usual for three days.
  • Come back to us on Saturday 21st March at 3pm to find out how you can optimise your social life!

If you’re interested in taking part, email events@dublin.sciencegallery.com before Friday 6th March to find out more and to arrange registration.
