For the fourth installment of our late night event series, and as part of our current HOME\SICK exhibition, we’re inviting everyone back to ours for the house party you don’t want to miss.
We’re teaming up with independent, DIY, alternative music curator Emmet Condon of HomeBeat, for a gallery-wide musical takeover that will include catscars, Fierce Mild and Margie Lewis (whose performance will be going live to her family’s breakfast table in Adelaide, Australia). Neil Flynn, our DJ for the night, will be dropping tracks live from his bedroom in Berlin, where we’ll also be beaming in a house concert from Nina Hynes.
Comedy trio Foil, Arms and Hog will be bringing the house down with sketches from their brand new show, and if you bring along an old record you can turn it into a clock with our Vinyl Countdown workshop by MAKESHOP.
We'll have talks from HOME\SICK artist Veronica Dyas, astrophysicist Joseph Roche, Gearoid Carvill and Paul Mahon from the Dublin Honey Project, and window farmer Emily Robyn Archer. Some lucky golden ticket winners will also get a chance to have a secret tour of our six-metre tall Lighthouse by it's designer, Fergal McCarthy. We’ll be turning all spaces into familiar home settings. Expect live music in the living room; experiments and tastings in the kitchen; workshops and demos and games in our garden (provided by our friends at BloomFringe).
There’s no place like HOME\SICK.
