Science Gallery Dublin are delighted to welcome NASA’s acting administrator Robert M. Lightfoot for a lunchtime talk on the role of NASA. From the range of their current and future missions, to their steps to improve aeronautics and develop new rockets and spacecraft, Robert will discuss NASA’s bid to carry us farther into the solar system than ever before. He will also discuss the current research happening on the International Space Station.
Robert M. Lightfoot Jr. became NASA’s acting administrator effective 20th January 2017. His permanent title is associate administrator for NASA, the agency's highest-ranking civil servant position, effective since 25th September 2012.
