Discover the science of happiness: An evening talk at Science Gallery Dublin in conversation with Meik Wiking, author of The Little Book of Lykke.
The World Happiness Report was first published in 2012. Its central purpose is to survey the science of measuring and understanding subjective well-being. Nordic countries, such as Denmark, Norway and Iceland, always lead the world happiness rankings, while Ireland and other western countries trail behind. Using examples from the world’s happiest people, Meik Wiking, CEO of the Happiness Research Institute in Copenhagen, will explore the science of measuring happiness, its social foundations and how to increase our quality of life and happiness.
Meik Wiking is the CEO of the Happiness Research Institute in Copenhagen and he is on a mission to discover what makes people happy. When he’s not studying political science and writing several books and reports on happiness, wellbeing and quality of life, he enjoys photography and playing tennis (quite badly) with friends.
