Native Scientist is an award-winning non-profit organisation founded in London in 2013 with the aim to empower immigrant communities through science outreach. They work with international scientists and teachers to promote science and language learning among school pupils. They focus on pupils who speak a different language at home and in school to raise awareness about multilingualism and STEM-related careers. On the 30th of January, Science Gallery Dublin will host the first Native Scientist workshop in Italian.
Italian-speaking scientists will get together to talk and demonstrate their work to children who speak Italian at home with their families. The workshop is for children between the ages of 6 and 12.
The workshop will start at 3.30, and it will last about 1 hour and a half.
The workshop is funded by the Trinity Equality Fund.
