Can design bring us together, or force us apart? Can physical space conjure memories, inspire intimacy or harbour hostility? This exploration of Dublin’s streets and its architecture will look at city planning to understand how design can create closeness. An experience for those who want to be catalysts for change, we aim to give you the tools to understand how planning and design can drive closeness in communities.
Led by led by local Dublin architect Stephen Mulhall, this will be a collaborative walking tour exploring moments of intimacy in the constructed environment. As well as being a short, informal message or a record of points or ideas; to note is to pay particular attention to something or to notice. A note can be an intimate form of communication, passed between people. What notes can we take from the city; and what will the city tell us?
