Dubliner Gerry Leonard was David Bowie’s guitarist, co-writer and Musical Director for the last ten years of his life.
To coincide with the Dublin Bowie Festival Signal host, Martin Clancy will chat with Gerry about his time with Bowie and the technology used to recreate those fantastic sounds on both record and in the arena live setting. Gerry will be bringing along his guitar the talk will also look at Gerry's work with Laurie Anderson and Rufus Wainwright while not overlooking his impressive solo work as Spooky Ghost.
SIGNAL is a new dedicated series of discussions and interactive demonstrations focused on cutting-edge technology, creativity and music, featuring artists, educators and creative thinkers. The series is a collaboration between Science Gallery Dublin and Martin Clancy, a music researcher at the Trinity College Dublin's Long Room Hub. Martin is a certified Ableton Live trainer with over thirty years’ professional experience as both a music producer and an industry professional.
