Learn robotics and computer programming with Colmac Robotics, at Science Gallery in an interactive week of workshops aimed at students aged 8-14.

The week runs from 29th of July to 2nd of August, from 10am to 2pm each day. Using LEGO Mindstorms NXT kits, which will be provided, students will learn aspects of robotics, electronics, mechanics, computer programming, and maths.

A different topic will be introduced each day and a competition will be held at the end of the week. Students will work in pairs under supervision, with a robotics kit and laptop running NXT software.

Dublin Mini Maker Faire is back for its second year. Part of the hugely popular Maker Faire family, Dublin Mini Maker Faire is an independent day-long community event where all kinds of “makers” get together to showcase their work. 

Last year, 5,000 people curious about making came along to Ireland's first Maker Faire event. This year, Dublin Mini-Maker Faire is set to be even bigger and will feature some of Ireland's most talented Makers.

EPIDEMIC: Going Viral is a week long, summer workshop for 14 to 16 year-old students offered by the Trinity College Dublin Biochemistry and Immunology Department and hosted at Science Gallery. The program aims to equip participants with insight into virology, immunity, infection and vaccination through game building, challenges, as well as opportunities for research and laboratory experiments. It’s an in-depth learning experience that challenges participants to think and learn for themselves.
