The competition – organised by the British Council and Cheltenham Festivals - aims to discover charismatic, up-and-coming scientists who inspire people to see the world from a new perspective - in just three minutes. Finalists from across Europe, Asia and Africa will compete to be named as the most exciting, accessible and charismatic science communicator.

'Risk' by Michelle Browne is a performance that explores how entrepreneurs and economists respond to risk-taking. It considers entrepreneurship and the gamble that is taken to generate business in the economy. In this curated game of Texas Hold ‘Em  the artist competes against high-profile entrepreneurs, including Peter Stewart, and Steven Forsyth.

The Bridge21 model of technology mediated collaborative learning is ideally suited to the philosophy of Project Maths as a realistic, contextualized, problem based approach to learning maths.

Designed by Bridge21 in collaboration with RISK LAB researcher Jessica Stanley, this one day workshop will give teachers hands on experience in a number of Bridge21 style Maths learning activities. These activities, suitable for 1st to 4th year students, have been developed and tested here in Trinity College Dublin.

Why are some people better at dealing with risk and uncertainty than others? 'Risk Intelligence' doesn't correlate with IQ, but without it we would make terrible decisions.

Dylan Evans, behavioural scientist and author of Risk Intelligence: How to Live with Uncertainty calls it "a special kind of intelligence for thinking about risk and uncertainty". Essentially, people with a higher Risk Intelligence are better at processing chance and probability.

Forest School is a long term project focused on bringing adults and children out into the woods, in every season. Trained Forest School Leaders bring people regularly to a natural, usually woodland environment over a long period of time. The group gets to totally immerse themselves in the experience and exercise body, mind and heart in nature. Free play, risk taking, awareness games, bushcraft, woodland skills and plant knowledge are all part of this experience.
