Science Gallery Dublin present a Hab Lesson with Marc O’Griofa aimed at sparking curiosity for young people, looking at exploration from Sea to Space. Marc will explain his experience and answer audiences questions about training NASA astronauts, and will lead a workshop looking at science under the sea. Marc O Griofa is a physician, scientist and aquanaut. In 2016, he made history as the first Irish doctor chosen by NASA to be part of NEEMO, the NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operation. He spent eight days living in the world’s only undersea laboratory, five miles off the Florida coast, training astronauts for space travel by simulating spacewalks and experiments under the waves. This workshop is suitable for +10.
Presented in conjunction with the Festival of Curiosity.
