THE COVID SERIES

To accompany Science Gallery Dublin’s IN THESE STRANGE TIMES programme, conceptual visual artist Staselė Jakunskaitė has created this series of mind-bending illustrations to capture the feeling of a nation in lockdown.

You can see her illustrations on our windows facing out onto Pearse St.

Staselė is a Lithuanian visual artist and conceptual illustrator living and working in Dublin. Staselė’s background is in Fine Arts and her work combines narrative print aesthetics, surrealistic motives and sensuality and conceptual ideas.

THE FUTURECAST

Lucas Garvey supplies the FUTURECAST for each episode of the IN THESE STRANGE TIMES podcast. He is a Berlin-based but Dublin-bred artist and designer that likes to curate, speculate, captivate and most importantly meditate. Particularly interested in modern social issues, he intends to promote particular ways of thinking through fictitious scenarios that in turn help shift us towards social betterment. Using humour as a tool to engage, he often takes a satirical approach to his work that asks questions and provokes thought in a universally accessible manner.
