It has the power to last for a thousand years but is often only used once. It is cheap to produce but expensive to dispose of. It has revolutionised the world of medicine and science, making it impossible to live without.
After a successful departure as part of the 2019 Dublin Fringe Festival, MOULD INTO SHAPE returns to unearth our national relationship to the material of plastic. Devised from conversations and interviews, this sonic pilgrimage on board the DART will take you on an actual journey along Dublin's coastline to a site directly affected by this controversial material.
MOULD INTO SHAPE by Luke Casserly and Shanna-May Breen is a co-commission by Dublin Fringe Festival and Science Gallery Dublin in association with The Digital Hub. Supported by Pan Pan Platform at Dublin Fringe Festival in partnership with AOB Arts Management. Proudly sponsored by Iarnród Éireann. Initially developed as part of the Next Stage Programme as part of Dublin Theatre Festival 2018. Our interview with Luke and Shanna-May can be found here.
The performance will take place at two intervals on Saturday February 8th at 12pm and 3pm, meeting at Science Gallery Dublin. As it takes place outdoors, please make sure to wear suitable clothing and protective wear.
Book early to avoid disappointment.
