BANDAGE
INSTALLATION, 2015
SARAH BRACKEN (IE)
Bandage is a reflection on the hidden scars of the Irish 1916 rebellion. Six locations across Dublin city that are significant to the Easter Rising were chosen by the artist for this street exhibition.
A map guides the visitor to each of these locations with the aim of the project to ignite a spark of interest and curiosity about the history of the city and the streets that visitors and locals alike walk down every day. In this way, they pay homage to those that lost their lives on those very streets, under the same sky. Dublin will reflect and Dublin will remember.
